Client

FODO Group includes the following brands: FODO, representing eye care providers in the UK; FODO Ireland, for eye care providers in Ireland; and the National Community Hearing Association (NCHA) for primary care audiology providers in the UK. It has used my editorial services since 2019.

Challenge

In 2019, FODO’s group managing director challenged Harmer Editorial to streamline the group’s brands. He wanted me to simplify its point-of-sale material and brand guidelines, and refresh its website and newsletters.

Action

I introduced the FODO leadership team to a content strategist who analysed the group’s existing communications collateral. Taking that research and the design agency’s web designs, I supplied editing, proofreading and occasional writing services for the projects. Moreover, I ensured a consistent tone of voice and using my copy-editing skills to improve accuracy and engagement.

Result

My success in achieving the group’s objectives led to regular editing and writing of all its newsletters. FODO also uses my one-stop services on other marketing and communications collateral, including press releases, social media, annual reports and emails.
